Agra – Prelude to the Taj or India’s biggest secret.

The four hour journey from Delhi to Agra passed quick enough, with the main highlight in the flat part of the country, being the convoys of combine harvesters. We asked Sukhdeep about them, apparently they trundle 600km from the north to cut the fields in the central areas for 2 months and then return, doing the ten day journey 3 times a year. We could not believe it made sense to drive these beasts 600km 6 times a year.

Qutub Minar – they knew how to build

As a way to check out our driver for the next few weeks, we took a trip around the outskirts of Delhi. Sukhdeep turned out to be a very nice gentle man and the car was a big, comfortable and new 7 seater – Thank you again Vinish!

Perfume river – crash course in Buddhism.

Our day trip with Mr Happy was both a feast for the eyes and the ears with a philosophical lesson in happiness and Buddhism. His real name Hy, he was a philosophy student who packed in his studies in his final year, because he had enough thinking time to realise there was no career in philosophy.
