Another castle, another opportunity for an epic bike ride in searing heat. This time to the famous twin castle of trosky. Built on top of two volcanic towers that forced their way up through the soft chalk before the chalk wore away, these symbols of the Bohemian Paradise are worth a visit.

a quick stop to check out the cliff edge.

The two towers are called Pana (Virgin) and Baba (Old Hag) and yet again offered numerous opportunities for the children to hurl themselves to their death at a moment’s notice. The worst one at the moment seems to be Elena who spends the whole time “bouncing” usually right next to a massive sheer drop!

After the 30+km ride to get there, we were glad for the train ride home.
